Buteyko is a breathing method that can
change your life forever

In October 1952 Professor Buteyko developed a method to control breathing and normalise the level of carbon dioxide which involves re-training of the complex involuntary mechanisms that govern breathing. The Buteyko method has been in use in Russia since 1959, and by 1986 over 100,000 patients had been cured. In 1985 official clearance was given to use it in the Russian NHS.

Our Mission is to eliminate suffering and death due to asthma through:

  1. Making the Buteyko method known and easily available to the public
  2. Organising Medical research and trials by the UK medics to officially prove the safety and the effectiveness of the Buteyko method
  3. Incorporation of this method into the National Health Service
As a breathing disorder, asthma can and should be controlled with breathing technique and drugs should be used only in resistant cases or when the Buteyko Method could not be applied.
